Now that Halloween has passed us and left us with loads of candy I’m starting to think about Thanksgiving and all that goes along with it. Travel arrangements. Family. Friends. Turkey. Pumpkin Pie. Table settings. House cleaning. It’s easy (for me at least) to get wrapped up in the details of the holiday without giving much thought to actually being thankful. My blog bestie Thauna and I were talking today about blogging and the season and the general states of our lives and we thought it was high time that we actually gave thanks. So each day leading up to Thanksgiving we will be posting about all the things, from silly to thoughtful to serious, that we are thankful for.

I love this…extra candy and food on the table, roof over head. The necessities. The basics can make you so happy when you take the time to appreciate them.

Dang–my kids are too old to trick-or-treat so we don’t have extra candy in the pantry!
