Weekend Recap { Shark Attack & Other Antics }

May 4, 2014

I-Spy-A-Nap-Taker

An afternoon at the movies tuckered him out.

He could barely keep still in his seat at Muppets Most Wanted.

The majority of the scenes called for dancing in his seat.

Including some fairly wild arm gestures.

Sings-Around-The-ClockLike many parents out there, the Frozen soundtrack is the soundtrack of our lives right now.

At our house it’s live.

With no volume control.

I’m pretty sure in his mind he’s an opera star.

An-Afternoon-of-Jewelry-MakingHe convinced his dad to help him make rubberband bracelets.

(Do they have a name?)

In the end he wound up on the couch while his dad did some jewelry making.

Shane didn’t see that coming.

Bunny-Ears-On-CookisBeau got up at 5:15 this morning. (Criminal really – Why Sunday and not Monday?)

Shane wanted to make root beer float cookies. (So good.)

What better kitchen activity to do at the break of dawn?

And we are in the middle of the bunny-ears-on-everything phase.

SharksBaking isn’t their only bonding time.

They also spend quality time playing Shark Attack.

What better father-son activity than eating people?

Sometimes it’s hard being the only girl in the house.

Oh-To-Nap-AnywhereI’d really like to plop down like Sami and nap whenever and wherever the mood strikes.

Mostly on hot days like today I’d like to relax on the cool tile floor.

Oh to just do whatever I want like that.

And causing kitchen traffic jams would be an added bonus.

Done-InAnd this is what the weekend did to me.

Exhaustion and smudged glasses caused by what I’m not sure.

Thinking that it felt good to ignore laundry today, knowing I’ll regret it tomorrow.

Actually looking forward to Monday.  (Just a bit.)
