Today was the Day All Arizonans Dread…Again

June 28, 2008

Once again, Beau and I returned home to a warm and quiet house. Yes, our air conditioner has decided it wants a day off! So, as I write this, I am waiting for the tech (thank goodness Shane works for an AC/plumbing company) in an 89-degree home. Some fun this is….This just in… As I was about to post this lovely update the tech showed up. Because our two dogs Rowdy and Sami are complete crazies when it comes to strangers at the door, I met the tech on the front walk and explained the whole situation to him. Sami, who was scratching at the sidelight, just itching to go after him with her big bad self, happened to turn the deadlock, locking me outside! Barefoot to boot!!! But, I’m glad to announce that I am back inside after my adventurous time clearing the area in front of the gate of all the cinderblocks and crawling through the dog door (you know me, better safe than sorry-lock up all the doors!). Let’s just hope I’ll hear the hum of the AC soon!…This just in…The word is, our compressor is shot. So, we’re in the market for a new AC. Definitely not a fun way to spend $2700. I guess my weekend can only go up from here.
