After having received this from work I didn’t feel guilty about not going in.
It may not look like much, but when the average rainfall is 8″ and we’re getting 3″ in a matter of hours, it’s a whole heck of a lot.
We were cool and dry inside, so it was all good for us.
Moonset over suburbia.
The moon was so bright in our bedroom windows through the night that I thought it as closer to morning than it was.
It’s a nice surprise to wake up at 2:30 AM realizing that yes, you still get to sleep for 3 hours!
Back to the grind.
Seriously, I wonder how I find anything in my office at times.
The neat and tidy workday is my Shangri-La.
Seriously so typical.
Half a pair of handcuffs on the headrest.
After we had issues with taking them off people.
I started earlier to beat the heat, but not early enough to beat the dove hunters.
My walk was a little boring steering clear of them.
Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to steer clear of the mosquitoes, 15+ bug bites on my legs later.
And the earth is back to being parched.
I actually love this terrain.
Dry as a bone.
I walk by this every walk and wonder.
Like they couldn’t take it to the dump?
So ugly.
The perfect Sunday night reading material.
Although anything called “pretend pasta” disturbs me.
I hear a bubble bath calling my name.
