Self. Gut. Rebirth.

September 3, 2009

So, I’ve been doing Kathryn Antyr’s wonderful journaling workshop, but as is often the case with me I’ve fallen behind. I guess I just march to the beat of a different schedule, or I’m a procrastinator. I prefer the former. In re-reading each of the weekly assignments, this quote jumped out and spoke to me. It is the gut feeling I’ve been having deep down. These are the words that I am feeling…

“There will be a time, not so far from now, that you will look back on this phase of your life and instead of condemning it or beating up on it…Instead of blaming, or guilting, you will feel appreciation for it, because you will understand that a renewed desire for life was born out of this time period that will bring you to physical heights that you could not have achieved without the contrast that gave birth to this desire.” {–Abraham (Abraham-Hicks Publications)}

    That's a good quote! Thank you for sharing.

    And I too have the hardest time sticking to schedules (such as for reading chunky novels with friends or reading group reads on time…).

    Ok. this is EXACTLY how I feel regarding my heart attack and my life back then and all the hurt and anger and hatred and guilt and horror of that time. This quote sums up what happened to me after going through that and how I can now say that was the best thing that could have ever happened to me. People think I'm crazy when I say that but its true. Going through that mademe become the person i am today and I'm happy to be who I am now and I'm so proud of the personal growth that came from that time period. I love this. thank you.

    Thanks so much for sharing this great quote Lizzi! It sounds like just what I need to write down and put up in front of my face so I will see it when I'm feeling overwhelmed and emotional, as has been the case so much lately!
    Thanks again! and don't feel bad, I march to the beat of a different drummer too!

    I love this quote…so very true. Here's to doing things on our own time schedule! I am exactly the same way…I think showing up for work on time and daily is about all the scheduled activity I can muster. :o)

    I tagged you on my silly blog, ABC Meme.
