Red Rock Country {Sweet Shot Tuesday}

May 16, 2011

We went on a day trip to Sedona this past weekend.

It was so nice to get out of the valley and to head up north to the red rocks.

Vortexing in Sedona

Feeling the energy (or at least attempting to) at the Airport Vortex.

You can’t help but be mesmerized when you are overlooking this.

Sweet Shot Day

Green Arches

The only non-golden arches in the world.

According to the city, terracotta and turquoise mesh with the Sedona vibe.

Driving Through Oak Creek Canyon

A somewhat leisurely drive through Oak Creek Canyon.

Personally, the sight of rocks above me being restrained by metal mesh is a little unnerving.

Barefoot Hiking

Some of us do nature walks barefoot.

Others of us just document it.

Just Us

Just Us.

I haven’t been up to anything nearly as fun as THIS! Love these pictures. There is nothing like the West.

Hi Lizzie! Stopping by with SST. MAN, those colors of those rocks are gorgeous. In last 2009, my husband and I went on a 40 day road trip which led us from Minnesota to Utah to explore Arches Ntnl Park and Canyonlands. Much of the same colors were there. We didn’t make it to Sedona, but I tell you what, it’s on the future “Things To See” list!!

Love the way you have your clickable links on the side. Is this custom? Or is there some kind of a template for it??

Can’t believe I’m just now looking at these pictures! Now I want to go to Sedona. It looks so beautiful and cool….a turquoise McDonalds sign?!? I need to get with it and post some Vegas pics. I love the shot of road through the trees.
