Yesterday morning my husband Shane and I had an appointment regarding a house we want to get into. Upon walking out the door I realized that I had subconsciously chosen red as a major player in my outfit…red sweater, red flip flops (the glory of living in laid back Arizona in January!) In addition I had put on my signature scent, Jean Paul Gaultier, which I hardly wear.
I don’t view myself as superstitious. In my mind I am a rational, logical, thinker of a person. But I can’t help but wonder if maybe I am. I have a fear of jinxing myself, I wear “my” color and scent, and I always wonder if certain things happening at certain times are really signs. So…does that make me superstitious, silly, or just in want of all the “help” I can get?

I think it’s being Hopeful. And HOPE is always a good thing! And why not look hot while you’re at it?

I’m not superstitious like I used to be but wearing something that makes you feel confident and good about yourself in a certain situation can definitely have a big influence!

I’m not superstitious but I do believe in the power of positive thinking and red is supposed to be a very powerful color. So you were going with high hopes and good intentions to win the house you want….nothing wrong with that!!

I do believe I’m a touch superstitious and I do have a fear of jinxing myself, so you are not alone in that!
But I also believe there are things we do which make us feel good about ourselves which aren’t necessarily being superstitious, it’s wanting to put our best out there so it comes back to us!

well, wearing your favorites couldn’t hurt, right?
Channeling Jeff Foxworthy now…”you might be superstitious if… you had to spin around three times, touch your nose, jump up and down and count to ten just to make sure that house would be yours.”
Fun posts!

Thanks gals for not making me feel silly!
So…I didn’t do (or not do) anything crazy like spin around or touch my nose, but I did wear some form of red and tried not to jinx myself and…it looks like we’re good to go on the house! HOORAY!!!
