We explored our state today.
We talked about the settlers here decades before us.
We wondered how they did it and admired their fortitude.
We questioned how some towns have stayed alive.
We admired the beauty of this place on Earth we call home.
*****

Ray Copper Mine…open pit, massive, a patchwork quilt of minerals…literally moving mountains.
*****

Saguaro Cacti…regal and painful and beautiful…I became even more enamored with them.
*****

Lone Vulture…it had a huge red beak and sat perched on a branch watching over its world.
*****

Renegade Cow…she appeared out of nowhere and walked the park alone like she owned it. We wondered about her story.
*****

Tonto National Forest…the desert never looked more beautiful.

The End.
