I drive about 30 miles each way every day to work with just the company of a 21-month-old who speaks his own language. I get to ponder the meaning of life along with trying to remember things that need to get done (ie…buy ink to print payment voucher for state taxes, you know important things.) I also get to mix some NPR with some JohnJay and Rich for a truly cultured ride. But the best part, other than trying to teach Beau some words other than bike (which sounds like bachai…very guttural, think he may be from Israel), is the scenery. The trees are green and full now, the mountains are as gorgeous as ever, and there are blossoms and blooms popping up (as much as they can pop in the desert.)

It must be nice to enjoy your commute. I have a terrible case of road-rage. There is nothing relaxing for me about being behind the wheel!

With a commute that long each way, it’s great to see that you still appreciate the bueaty which surrounds you during that time in your days.

I wish I was in AZ with the nice weather 🙂 Today is the first day I’ve seen the sun in days. And I usually drive to work before the sun is up, and miss out on it!

Love the pictures from your drive…our mountains are still snow covered and even with fresh snow (in April!!!)…can’t wait to see some green up there.
