Let Go {Reverb10}

December 5, 2010

Let Go. What (or whom) did you let go of this year? Why?

Note To Self:

Let go of the control that you think you need to maintain.

It’s okay to step back and watch thing unfold.

The world will not stop spinning.

Promise.

Let go of the past.

Sure you made some choices that weren’t smart, but who doesn’t?

You don’t get a do-over, so stop dwelling.

It’s a done deal, lesson learned.

Time to move on.

Let go of your fantasy of perfection.

No such thing.

Anyway, as soon as you are foolish enough to believe you have attained it,

you will see something or meet someone that will leave you climbing again,

reaching for that peak that is always out of reach.

It’s just not worth it.

And do yourself a favor,

stop comparing yourself to everyone else.

Once you let go of that, it’s all good.

I let go of keeping the kitchen clean, but I’m not sure that’s a good thing…
    Gorgeous shot!

What a STUNNING photo, and your words are a perfect reminder for me. …

Beautiful sunset shot… I love it….. and I liked your note to yourself. It’s a note we can all relate to that’s for sure.

I dont get a do-over. Never thought about it in those exact terms, but it sums it up beautifully. There is truly no point or benefit to obsessing, I’m only wasting the energy that I could put to better use elsewhere. Wise words indeed.
