It’s Friday morning and this is what I’m thinking….

January 30, 2009

I’m adopting a new view of my beloved Supersition. No longer will we be nestled at its base, now the San Tans will watch over our home.
We have a lot of Stuff. Too much Stuff. Stuff can good but I think it can hold us back. I’m determined to move forward.
I’m reading The Story of Edgar Sawtelle by David Wroblewski and it’s awesome – you really should read it, especially if you have or love dogs. It’s going on my favorites list so you know it must be good.
I can’t imagine being a pioneer. I would not last long at all. In fact, I don’t even think you could have convinced me to Head Wagons West.
My friend Tamye just discovered the Holga camera that the cutest rockstars in NYC use. I really, really, really want one. Tamye – we should each get one, leave the boys with the guys, and go on holga adventures! What do you say?
Life is one huge balancing act…time to channel my inner trapeze artist/tightrope walker.
I’m not a TV watcher (really, I’m not) but I’m so glad my two favorite shows (okay, the only shows I make time to watch) are back…Bones and Life on Mars. Yay!!! Though I’m still sad they canceled The Women’s Murder Club.
I believe, and am experiencing in the blogsophere, that we are more similar than we are different…it’s just in the wrapping.
Starting on 2/2 I’m revamping my lifestyle (you know, actually exercising, not just saying I’m going to exercise) so that I’ll be in shape by Beau’s birthday in July. I know I’ve said it before (and done it before so there is hope after all) but now I’m putting it in blogoprint so I’ve got to make it happen.
We won’t have phone/tv/internet service until Tuesday, so happy weekending Friends O’ Mine!

Hmmm I can see the San Tans from our house. Have you moved away from Gold Canyon? Maybe we’re closer than we knew! Good luck with the no phone/tv/internet thing until Tues. How did you watch the game?

Hey Lizzie…I read Edgar Sawtelle and liked it for a while, then it kinda fell apart for me.
But anyway. I wanted to tell you I lived in Petaluma for about 4 years back in the 76-80 period. Back in the day. We were there a year or so ago, visiting and I actually found my old house we rented.

I’m still reading Sawtelle and am still loving it…if you haven’t yet give it a try. I’m also still unpacking. No decorating yet, though – I’m waiting until I’m positive on where the furniture is going and staying! Hope everyone is wonderful!

    Dragonfly,
I lived in Petaluma, on the West side, from 91-96 but it will always be home to me. I haven’t been back there since 2000, unfortunately. I loved it! I miss Sonoma County and the entire Bay Area!!

    Holli,
The Holga camera is a cheap plastic camera, with a plastic lens that takes pictures (real film!) that have a vintagey look to them. Search for it on Amazon and you can get all the technical details. I can’t wait to order one! I think you’d have a ton of fun with it!

    Jennifer,
We’re a few miles south of Schnepf Farms. I’m loving it so far! Oh, and we watched the Super (sad) Bowl at some friend’s party.
