It’s Friday evening and this is what I’m thinking…

March 20, 2009

If you had a theme song what would it be? Mine would be I don’t know yet… But in case you care, I could run for miles and miles and miles to “Stayin’ Alive.”

Remember when you put your chair on top of your desk at the end of the school day? That’s how it is here because Beau thinks he’s a monkey. But then he tries to pull the chairs down and hits his head, which makes me think that I should put a helmet on him at all times.

I have the urge to take a class (like I have the time.) Crazy, when you’re in school you don’t want to be, and when you’re not you want to be. I’m pretty sure I could be a professional student. Does that make me a nerd or what?

When you’re trying to go to sleep or are bored during that same old drive to work every morning do you ever imagine yourself the heroine of a novel in which you are begged to be outfitted by Prada or Gucci or Versace and you are brilliant and witty and so generous and you save the world or discover a major scientific breakthrough or create a new mathematical theory? Just wondering…

It’s upsetting to my Libra sense of balance to have to bite my tongue indefinitely with certain people.

You know you need more sleep when you start shaving your legs with the shower stall squeegy.

When do kids stop throwing books and dog food and cheetos and cups? When???

There are many times when I wish I lived in a big city. And I could walk to all my local coffee shops and bakeries and markets and stores. And I’d know all the workers there, and they’d be like Margie at our local Fry’s who calls everyone Love and Sweetie and all babies Precious. Like San Francisco in my perfect world.

Remember those oh so olden times when we used to look up things in an encyclopedia? Makes me feel old.

Could you imagine if we allowed ourselves to say all those things we think? It would be so good but so bad.

How do you blog? That’s me with my partner in crime…it’s a two person job.

A little common sense goes a long way. Especially when you’re on a freeway onramp 50 feet in the air, with cars zooming by on the curve at 65+ mph and you are in the right lane, not the shoulder, going 10 mph with your hazards on because your donut is flat. If you are ever in this predicament please pull over to the shoulder so people like me don’t run into you! (No, I didn’t run into her, but still…)

This week I think that propriety is overrated. Way overrated.

Enough thoughts for now…Happy Weekending!

I’ve been practicing saying things I think on Twitter. Well, about 15% of them. Which is much better than the 2% I’m usually running at. It’s a weird way to live, isn’t it? YOur brain doing one thing and your mouth another.

I love your Friday posts!! I need to commment on some of these because I laughed out loud while reading this……

My theme song is Right To Be Wrong by Joss Stone and let me tell you I’m STILL singing Stayin’ Alive right now and possibly may move into Greased Lightning soon! LOL

COMPLETELY forgot about putting my chair on my desk at school….totally random memory just came back thanks to you!

I’m really thinking I’m going to take a class now. Great idea! Why not? I would love to butter the inside of my brain with some new knowledge.

Laughed my ass off over the squeegie comment…oh my god that was funny!!

Why do kids throw all of that stuff to begin with? 🙂 What’s the point?? LOL

I also have always wanted to live in San Francisco for those exact same reasons. I used to pretend I did live there when my mom did and I would go stay with her. I loved it. But I missed driving too much to do it forever.

I was JUST thinking that the other day…about the encyclopedias!! It does make you feel old huh?

Kids never stop throwing things. Mine just throw their trash on the floor, as if someone else will come along behind them and pick it up.

I look EVERYTHING up on Wikipedia. It’s sort of like an encyclopedia right? That’s what I tell myself. And I believe everything the Wiki tells me.

I blog locked in a small dark room. Or in the thirty minutes in the morning they are preoccupied by television. Kind of hinders the creative process.

I always love your Friday thoughts! I’m with ya on the driving. Some people on the road (okay most people on the road) just amaze me with their iggnorance.

It’s so funny you mention encyclopedias, because I watched the episode of Friends the other day where Joey buys one encyclopedia, and thought to myself, “oh how times have changed!”

LOL, you always crack me up! My current theme song is Because of You, by Kelly Clarkson…that is just sad, and I’m trying to get over it. Actually I think I have many, songs really have a way of speaking for me.

And yes, I feel old now…esp. since I’m older than you! haha!

"You know you need more sleep when you start shaving your legs with the shower stall squeegy." LOL

Ok, I put the tin foil in the fridge summer before last and our nephew saw me do it but didn't say anything! When I later discovered it in there and wondered aloud why, he told me he saw me do it & when I asked him why he said nothing to me he said, "I thought you wanted in there for some reason!" ?!

"I have the urge to take a class (like I have the time.) Crazy, when you're in school you don't want to be, and when you're not you want to be. I'm pretty sure I could be a professional student. Does that make me a nerd or what?" NO! That does not make you a nerd! (OR it makes me a nerd along with you, lol!)
