Things I need to remember:
Keep Calm and Carry On — How much do I really need? — Don’t Borrow Trouble
Sleeping with the windows open = Bliss
I can’t believe March is this weekend. What happened to January and February?
This Valentine from my niece Claire to Beau is the sweetest Valentine ever. Talk about lucky cousins to have each other.
I really like it when the repair guy comes to fix the copier at work. He smells just like how my grandparent’s house did. He has a slight hint of musty smoke on him, with an overlay of the afterhsave my Grandpa wore. Childhood memories come flooding back.
When I was little my friends wanted to be teachers, but not me. The thought of teaching was so scary because how would you know everything you had to teach? Instead, I wanted to be an artist because no one can tell an artist they did their work the wrong way.
My theory: 1 minute in the doctor’s office is equivalent to 10 minutes real life.
Not to toot my own horn, but I’m doing a really good job of growing my hair out. I’ve managed to come through that “I just need to cut it off so it looks okay.” phase without a trip to Rhonda. Speaking of hair, How’s your hair growing out goal going, Holli? (quite a tongue twister there.)
I’d love to redecorate my bedroom with lovelies from etsy.
We’re going to my nephew’s football game soon and I’m going to put my Holga to work, finally. Full report will follow.
I was listening to the radio show Science Friday this afternoon (I’m such a geek) and they were talking about the Hubble Telescope. I’ll tell you what…Space boggles my mind!

Claire’s valentine is so sweet!
I laughed when I read about the copier repair guy! I wonder how many people get excited when he comes to fix their copiers…
I’m trying to grow my hair out too…I have had short hair for most of my life, and I think it suits me better, but I just decided I wanted to try it a bit longer for a change. Most likely, I’ll get fed up and have it all chopped off one of these days!

4 months ago it was chin length and now its at the tops of my shoulders….its doing good!!
Totally remember pegging my jeans and the two layer socks. What about rolling your knee high socks down to the tops of your shoes and friendship bracelets you never took off?
Lizzi says
Yes…Friendship bracelets! How about the side ponytails?

I LOVED friendship bracelets! Still do – I make one from time to time just for ol’ time sakes!
Lizzi, I love your friday posts!

Layered multi-colored socks were hot…with the side pony tails, and shirt clips too. The late 80s early 90s certainly were fabulous!

Lizzi, you crack me up! I love Beau’s valentine, what a lucky boy to have a cousin who loves to play with him.

Lizzi-
Thanks so much for the comments about Odie. Nice to know I’m not the only person who feels like the dog is a part of the family. I smiled about the copier guy because I have such strong sense memories sometimes too. Something in the air one morning last week reminded me so much of where my grandmother lived in Omaha. And it’s been 30 years since I’ve been there. Amazing.

Pegged jeans were SO awesome.

my husband pegged his pants the other day to be silly – i can’t believe we used to do that!
i love sleeping with the windows open and i can’t wait for the weather to change soon!!
and isn’t it funny how so many kids want to be teachers when they grow up? i knew lots of kids who did, including me. but i know now that i’d be a HORRIBLE teacher. it requires patience that i just don’t have 🙂
