I can’t believe I spent 2 hours of my life watching Khloe Kardashian’s wedding and all the “secretive” planning that went into it.

I feel renewed.
This time of year I wish we had a fireplace again. Even though I wore flip flops today.
Ocho Cinco = Odd
I have 5 calendars in my office. Is that excessive? To my credit they serve different purposes….1 is a wall calendar with lovely ISU photos, 1 is a blotter calendar that seconds as a doodle page, 1 is another large wall one that I actually have notes on. I also have a 12-month dry erase one that I’m going to try to use but no guarantees there. And then there’s my outlook one.
Funny note: I don’t have any calendars at home.
I don’t usually wear heels. Okay, I almost never wear them anymore. However Beau found a pair of them deep in the recesses of my closet and he’s fixated on them. If I don’t wear them you’d think it was the end of the world. I even vacuumed in them so I wouldn’t have to hear a tantrum. Anyone else have a kid like this?
Rain is a beautiful thing. I wish I saw more of it.
At times doing that which you don’t want to do or don’t think you can do is the most liberating thing to do. But not the easiest.
It’s okay to not back down. It’s also okay to give in.
Are you pondering 2009 and 2010? I am.
How do you define yourself? By your family? Your name? Your occupation? Your condition? Your relationships?
Our neighbors across the street decked their front yard out with lots of lights. On the house. On the bushes. On the river rock. On the trees. They also have a good size sleigh with one reindeer and a small Santa figurine. Not only does it move and light up but it plays Christmas music. It’s pretty but also kind of odd since you have to be outside in the cold, dark night to actually hear it.
Speaking of Christmas lights, I don’t like those blue ones that are kind of dark. They hurt my eyes and make me lose depth perception.
Go with your gut.
So many things that we think are huge deals are miniscule in the grand scheme of life and the world and the universe.
Tomorrow is Shane’s company Christmas party. It’s at a bar so it promise to be a rowdy and raucous time. I’m letting him call it date night. Either way I get a night out with other adults, without a child in sight. Sounds good to me.
I love Google Reader. But I just reorganized my blogs and I feel lost. Apparently I can’t even keep my own filing system straight. So if I haven’t been to your blog lately it’s not you, it’s me.
Have a wonderful weekend!

I think it is funny too! He is going to be a leg man.
I loved the part about the rain. I get so annoyed at people who complain about the rain. We need rain.
It helps to make the garden grow. I say if you don't like driving in it, stay home!
Also, so true about the miniscule things in the world and universe, but think about the flip side of that, how the miniscule things we all do add up to a great big thing against the world and the universe (like the environment).
I love your posts. I wasn't thinking about 2010, but maybe I should start.
Have a great time at the party.

Vacuuming in the heels now huh? Wow. Your house is one classy place thanks to Beau's styling…. LOL Very cute.
I define myself by who I've helped and how I helped them. That's what matters the most…..
I am pondering 2010 right there with ya.
The Ocho Cinco thing is so bizarre.

I define myself by all those things and more. It's limiting to define ourselves by one of many roles we all play.
