It’s Friday evening and this is what I’m thinking…

October 17, 2009

The number 13 has been coming up in my dreams and life lately. Lucky? Unlucky? Superstitious? Nonsense?

I’m in a good mood. I usually am, but right now I’m feeling really good.

The weather man says we’re supposed to hit the 90s this weekend. Why? I seriously thought we’d have the AC off for the season by now.

I thought I lived in Queen Creek. Apparently I don’t. I was reading the local paper tonight and found out I live in San Tan Valley. Obviously I should pay attention to local news a little more.

Life Lessons from this week: 1.) Don’t carry more than you’re willing to lose. 2.) You don’t actually need that much. 3.) No use crying over spilled milk.

Addict by Dior is addicting. I want to bathe in it.

I’m calling this weekend Project Weekend. I have a lot of projects
floating around in my brain and this weekend I’m determined to accomplish one.

When I was a teenager I would have given anything to have straight hair. Now as an adult I’d give anything to have my curly hair back. Well, not anything, but a lot.

I’m doing very well with eating better, and the scale is registering a lower number. But I have to tell you that I found the most amazing ice cream yesterday. Ben & Jerry’s Mission to Marzipan. Sweet cream ice cream. Almond cookies. Marzipan swirl. Ecstasy in a carton.

I’m fortunate to have Shane in my life. And I really wish he was home right now and not on call. Oh well.

The cotton fields near us are blooming. Think green with snow drops. Or cotton balls. I love looking at the fields.

We’re all adults and while I don’t believe in sugar coating, I do believe in filtering sometimes. Are you speaking to help give insight or are you speaking for attention?

1. Plate: DADTOY. Car: Kia minivan. My response: For real? You must be the world’s most boring dad. 2. Plate: DTZBLND. My response: Should I be driving next to you?

Have any fun plans this weekend? Have a good time doing whatever you’re doing!

I like the idea of Project Weekend! I've got a few things that I just haven't gotten around to yet. Hubby will be out of town tomorrow so it might just be the perfect day to do them.

I have never seen a cotton field…sounds beautiful. Do you have fireflies there? Do they light up over the fields of cotton? How does it sound when the wind blows across a cotton field?

I'm so sorry about the thief. I'm sorry you were violated and I'm sorry there are people like that in this world.

I've always has straight hair. Temps in the 90's? I have to move…

I was freezing this weekend with mornings in the 30's…brrr. I love cotton fields. They are all around my great-grandma's home…most of my family actually grew up working in cotton fields. I think they are beautiful to look at as well.
Hope you got a project done…

I believe the number 13 is only unlucky if you believe it is. (Same goes for any other superstition). Just my humble opinion! Love the cotton fields. Not enough to see them in person if it's 90 degrees. ;~)
