I love how palm trees line the drives of the farms near us.
I am making a conscious effort to be true to myself and my beliefs.
I am craving enough garlic to ward off an army of vampires. And root beer.
The air is turning and I love it. The chill in the night air rejuvenates my spirit; the scent of the night air wafting through the open windows soothes my soul.
This week I went shopping with a birthday gift card and after carrying an armload of clothes around the store I put everything back; it’s silly to buy clothes now since my goal is to not fit them next month. Later that evening Beau and I ate cold linguine with clams for dinner while standing at the kitchen island. We ate a lot of linguine. So I’m back to square 1 with my goal.
I’m giving myself brownie points for not window shopping at Coach. My mantra…I don’t need another bag. I don’t need another bag.
This time next week I will no longer be 30.
So many things are possible. Truly. The trick is taking control, realizing what you can’t control, and not scaring yourself into thinking that you just can’t do it.
I need to start leading the life I want to have.
I’m still having vibrant dreams that are pretty off the wall.
I crave a journey back to Tuscany to absorb the sun and the smells and the hills and the beauty and simplicity. Tuscany is infiltrating my dreams and I’m loving it.
I’m starting to play with Christmas card ideas in my head. Yes it’s almost that time of year.
I love fall but Halloween has always been my least favorite holiday. In fact, I’ve never liked it that much, even as a kid. The idea of dressing up in public makes me cringe. Candy or no candy. However, I can’t wait to dress up Beau if he’ll let me.
Herb Caen was great…”One day if I do go to heaven…I’ll look around and say, ‘It ain’t bad, but it ain’t San Francisco.'” I love reading his old columns. He perfected the use of ellipses.
If you are lucky enough to have a 3-day weekend, enjoy it! If you’re like me and have a plain old 2-day one, enjoy also!
