Beau and I had a swimming and lunch date with some friends on Wednesday. Fun was had by all. What is less than fun are my pink shoulders and back. I wish we had a pool but I get paranoid with Beau horsing around in the bathtub. Maybe we’ll get one when he’s out of the house.
I’m done with irritation. And annoyance.
I love the way Beau looks when he wakes up in the morning. His hair is going in every direction imaginable and his eyes have that puffy sleepy look. Yesterday morning I found him on the kitchen floor eating breakfast with Dad. Breakfast was strawberry cake. I went back upstairs.
I desperately need to organize our household files/papers. The problem is that there are so many other things I’d rather do; I’d rather fold the dreaded laundry.
I’m past that “I just need to chop my hair off” stage for good…for now. Things are looking up.
Personal Epiphany: I don’t need to go at it alone.
Do you know how hard it is to cook without onions? Hard. On a side note, this morning I chopped a green onion for my baked potato for breakfast. Even after having washed my hands several times since, they still smell faintly of onion. I love it.
High school football starts next week. It’s Friday night lights for us.
I love my Wednesday Sisters. You’re the best.
Committment to yourself and your goals and dreams is where it’s at.
I sometimes think there’s a frustrated grammar teacher lurking inside me.
I’m pretty sure my nephew would be embarassed to know that I’m blogging photos of him on this post. Oh well.
I think Shane is taking me on an excursion tomorrow…I’m excited!
Happy weekend…I’ll see you in the funnies.

I feel like a giddy schoolgirl whenever I sit down to read your thoughts. It's just so…ah. It's like the expectation you have when you're a teenager and you get a new magazine. It's my reward for making it through the week. If I ever need grounding again, being grounded from your Friday thoughts would be punishment enough. (I feel like every week I need to tell you how much I love your Friday posts, like it keeps you going)
I'll have to try that Yoplait. Thanks buddy.
I want to meet Beau. But I might steal him or offer to buy him from you.
I'm telling you: delegate when you can. Going at it alone is not the way to go. Too much pressure.
Happy excursioning!

You know, I didn't become a teacher until my kids were born and started school. Then i went to school too, and became a grammar school teacher. And I fell in love with my job…the end.

My family calls me an English school marm all of the time so you're not alone!
I love high school football–cannot wait for it to start here next Friday. I think it would be so cool to have a nephew on the team!

Love the strawberry cake story–AWESOME! They need that guys on the floor ravaging the kitchen bonding time. Nice. 🙂

I know exactly how you feel when you say there are other things you'd rather do than organize your files. My closet desperately needs to be organized and my stairs are covered in cat hair, but when the weekend comes these tasks inevitably go unfinished. Guess I'd rather spend me free time going to farmers markets, hanging with friends and playing outside.

If you use white vinegar on your finger tips (like washing with soap) before washing with soap and then wash as you normally would, the onion scent (and vinegar scent) disappears!
Your personal epiphany made me cry; it's something I always have to remind myself even though I've been with Vic for over 5 years. I was the only one I could count on for so many before him.
Also, the Key Lime Pie Yoplait is YUMMY!
