Cotton fields here. Cotton fields there.
In between grocery stores and gas stations, tract houses and schools.
Turn the corner and a few acres of white pop up.
Only now the white is turning to reddish brown and only a few bolls remain.
Cotton skeletons.
♥What shot do you love this week?♥
I took this photo on my way home from work yesterday, from the gas station parking lot after filling up. I’m always on the lookout you see. We have cotton fields all around our neighborhood and I love watching the crops grow year after year. Given that I was shooting through my windshield I wasn’t too sure how my attempt at capturin the recently harvested field would turn out. But I am quite happy with it and I particularly like how the misty clouds above frame the photo.
