What was it you ask? An unusually warm house upon returning from work. Yep folks, Shane and I came home this afternoon (an afternoon during which the mercury reached 112) to find our house strangely quiet, and not a cool 78 degrees. After 25 years of hard work, our air conditioner decided to call it quits and our house had warmed up to a toasty 91 degrees! So, we waited for AC tech in the darkened living room, moving as little as possible, except for Shane who paced back and forth willing the AC tech to hurry! Fortunately for us, our AC just went a little comatose today and was able to be revived this evening by a new wire. I just pray this wire will breath new life into our unit for the rest of the summer!
Lizzi On Life
Most people in the Valley of the Sun have never heard about Gold Canyon (Is that still in the valley?) But living here is pretty darned close to living in a desert paradise…without the oasis. We’re 40 minutes east of Phoenix but we’re truly a world away…No streetlights make for gorgeous evenings for stargazing…Howling packs of coyotes and roaming javelina at night make you realize how close to the moutains…No bustling streets means that you can go for a Sunday drive any day of the week…You are sure to run into someone you know at the store in a one-grocery store town…Sure, it can feel like a trek “going into town” for a nice dinner out, a night at the movies, or a shopping spree but I wouldn’t give up living here for anything! Anyone ready to move down to our neck of the woods?
