It is a double edged sword! I have so many books that I want to read, want to reread, want to finish reading…and those don’t include my COL book or my local book group book. So many books (like 18 boxes of books…we’re moving,)and so little time. My goal is to read books I own before any new ones, but then someone goes off and writes a book that I HAVE to read, and out the window my goal goes!
Lizzi, I’m the same way. I have tons of books I own but I keep veering off the beaten path and reading other books that are either recommended, catch my eye, or picked for our book club. I really wish I could read for a living. 🙂
Well Lizzi, you and my husband would get along just fine! For me, the answer to your question is: the exact number you’ve already read and don’t need to hold on to for future professional reference. That’s how many, LOL.

It’s a double edged sword, don’t you think? Of course there are never too many books, but can we possibly read every last one we want to?!

Yes, I agree! I can never have too many but to get them all read is overwhelming!
