Mara bestowed the Honest Scrap award, which recognizes bloggers who write honestly and openly and encourages more straightforward and candid conversation by obliging recipients to list 10 honest things about his/her self.

I am shy and quiet and observant on the outside. On the inside I am highly opinionated.

I believe that the energy you put out there is what you get back. The positive begets the positive and the negative begets the negative.

There are times when I feel completely stifled and trapped living in Arizona.
*
I have always wanted to be an editor (among other things.)
*
I pride myself on bringing actual homemade items to get-togethers, shin-digs, and potlucks.

I was in the 1989 Loma Prieta earthquake in The Bay Area. Ever since then I have been afraid of things falling in on me…tunnels, overpasses, buildings.

I like being in my 30s. I’m getting to know myself; it’s sort of a second coming-of-age, adult-style. Even if I didn’t like it, it’s a moot point since we can’t go back. Anyway your age is whatever you make of it.

I always hit my snooze twice before waking up. I set my alarm early just to do so. I know it doesn’t make sense but I still do it.

I carry the Twenty-Third Psalm in my wallet and my planner and I write it in every diary I keep. It brings me comfort.

I like to dip my McDonald’s fries in my McDonald’s vanilla cone. It’s the perfect sweet-salty combination.
I’m bestowing this award on the following bloggers, who are all about honest scrap…

I too refuse to bring anything that’s not homemade to a potluck, and I always hit snooze at least twice before getting out of bed!
My first and only earthquake experience was in San Jose, Costa Rica. It was a small one, and I thought I was just woozy or something until the mother of the household I was living at came running in announcing the earthquake.

Thank you, Lizzi!!!
I completely agree about the positive and negative energy. And I set my alarm early, too! Why do we do that? This morning I hit snooze about 9 times. So wanted to snooze all morning…
I wish I was a whiz in the kitchen and could whip up homemade dishes everyone looks forward to. I need to just come to terms with the fact that cooking is not my thing.

I DIP MY McD’s FIRES IN MY McD’S ICE CREAM TOO! It’s the best!

I set two alarms. One is a pre-alarm and is always ignored. 15 minutes later, the real alarm goes off and is usually snoozed a few times. I’m always proud on the days I actually get up “on time.”

I hit my snooze twice too and sometimes a third time. I always amazes me that I can drift back into deep sleep in 9 minutes or less.
I agree completely about the energy thing…and I’ve seen the proof in my life many times.
