Bestowed & Bestowing: Awe-Summm!!!

May 15, 2009

Jamie Gray (I love how her name sounds) of Jamie Unscripted passed the
Queen of ALLL Things Awe-Summ!!! Award on to me.
Make sure you go check out her fun blog. She’s all about google searches, four-legged furry friends, confessions, and lots and lots of photos.

What it means to be Queen…

1. List 7 things that make me Awe-Summm
2. Pass this award onto 7 bloggers I love…I follow the rule of 3 so it will be 3 bloggers I love.
3. Tag said bloggers and link back to who tagged you

1.
I can be a cool mom to Beau right now because he is a toddler. Being cool is letting him have cold pizza and chocolate milk for breakfast. It is the breakfast of champions. I’m enjoying my coolness while I can, before I need to start laying down the law for real. And there are just some battles not worth fighting.
2.
I’m all about the real deal. Authenticity. The Real McCoy. It’s a passion of mine.
3.
I’m incredibly cultured. I can sing along to Frank Sinatra, Lynyrd Skynyd, Nine Inch Nails, Aretha Franklin, AC/DC, Dr. Dre, and hum to Mozart. You should hear the Saturday playlist in my house.
4.
This is the 6th day in a row that I’ve posted. That’s a record for me. Truly awesome is what it is.
5.
If there is something I really want to do I go ahead and do it. I’m not into asking for permission so much. And deep down I still believe just about anything is possible.
6.
The older I get the less baloney I take. And the less I care about other people’s baloney. It’s awesome to not get involved in all the baloney that is out there. Speaking of baloney, bologna is quite possibly the most disgusting food in the world. And how do you say it-baloney or bologna?
7.
I work the kitchen well. My brown sugar weanies (stupid name, need to think of a better one, open to suggestions), white lasagne, and sweet potato crumble are scrumptious, and that’s not only in my book. It’s true so I’m not bragging.
******
And it goes on to…
Teri of Quinceberry is amazing. She’s creative, brilliant, humorous, and down-to-earth.
MJ of In So Many Words… is all about awesomeness and helping everyone find their own.
Marie of Every Day Is A Miracle is all about being in the now and the know and enjoying it, from a wonderful Canadian vacation, to her little acting troupe at home, to politics.

Cyn- I don’t have your email so here it is.

Lots and lots of brown sugar. Wrap little smokies in bacon (cut each piece in thirds), fasten with a toothpick and then cover with brown sugar. I usually coat the bottom of a glass baking dish with brown sugar, throw the weanies in (I’m not patient enough to line them up) and then throw on more brown sugar until they are covered. My motto – when you think you have enough brown sugar on them, throw on a little more. Bake at 350 until done. I never remember how long I bake them – just until they look edible. They are super good but super rich!
