Thanksgiving was lovely as lways. Good food and good family and lots of laughs. And then we “played” Beanboozled. That is when things went a little south for awhile. And now I feel like detoxing my body until Christmas.
We saw Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them. It was the first movie in the Harry Potter franchise that I’ve seen. Yeah, I know. I went into it knowing nothing about the story. Honestly, I know nothing about anything in the Harry Potter series. Anyway, I enjoyed it, though I spent a lot of the movie thinking Samantha Morton looks a lot like Justine Bateman.
We opted out of the craziness of Black Friday shopping for the calm and quiet of tree trimming. I’d rather deal with having to share ornamenting with children than deal with people in line. And now our home is cozily decked out. Though Mary has come up missing. {And I still do some nightly ornament rearranging.}
As usual for us, we ended this holiday weekend book reporting. Sometimes I feel like it never ends. This time a bio on Steven Spielberg. Mostly it was anyway someone could do a report on Jaws.
For the first time this season I’m ready to turn on the heat. If only everyone else felt the same way.
I’m still plugging away at reconnecting with my camera. I swear I don’t know what happened. Sure it’s like riding a bike. Riding a bike uphill, in a windstorm, in the rain.
I just got rid of a ton of books. Maybe not a ton, but Shane says 300 pounds of books. I have no idea why I held on to books that I either already read and had no intention of rereading or ones that I don’t want to read in the first place. I hope they all find lovely homes.
